In Marketing 101 students will develop their understanding of marketing and business by working with local businesses and student teams to become the next "West Valley Apprentice". Students demonstrate their marketing skills by completing a variety of challenges.
Students in teams will:
Compete in selling Lemonade or Iced Teas to see who can make the most profit.
Research, design and market a "New product" they believe will sell and present their plans to community judges
Research elementary and develop a new toy and present their idea to 1st graders at Cottonwoood Elementary and judges from Toys R Us.
Work with Field House, a clothing screen print business to select a garmet, design a logo and sell the product to students on West Valley Campus.
Develop and implement a community service project in hopes to win the final challenge to become the next "West Valley Apprentice".
