What is the purpose of the Art and Culture club?

The Art and Culture club is the combination the Anime club and the Art club.

What is Anime? Manga?

Anime is Japanese cartoons that, like American cartoons, range from rated G - PG-13, often the anime is based on manga. Most anime from Japan is very bloody and gorey, therefore, we are restricted by school rules on what to watch. Manga is the name of Japanese Comics that can vary from action/adventure to business and other categories such as sports and games, Romance, horror, and science fiction. Unlike American comic books, manga is read right to left from top to bottom and are mostly in black-and-white, maybe with the occasional color depending on the manga series. You can purchase Manga or Anime series online and also in stores such as Borders and Barnes and Noble.

How do I join?

To join is easy, just come to club meetings every other Wednesday during second period with your club sheet from your Ram Prep teacher. Wednesday meetings are usually focusing on art mostly and we do talk about projects we'll be doing. However, if you want to join the anime portion of the club, every Thursday we have an after school meeting where we sit and watch anime mostly, occasionally we will stop what we're watching and talk about important items. NO DRINKS OR FOOD ALLOWED! And you must have a permission slip from your parents to watch anime or check out manga from Cabbage's personal collection of manga.
