Tolo is right around the corner and coming up fast, so that means you should be getting prepared for this amazing, fantastic, magical night. Put it on your calendar! March 17 th, March 17 th, March 17 th, remember! More information like ticket prices is available on posters all around the school. Oh, and if you want some good music for this tolo, we need you to request songs and post them on the West Valley Facebook page as well as tweet them to the West Valley twitter. We want YOUR help on making this year’s tolo the best it can be! And remember. Sophomore’s are selling tattoos, be sure to get tatted up and look fly for tolo, these tattoos are going to fly by fast! So buy them soon. The cost is $1 for 3! What a deal!
Allied Arts is sponsoring a contest in which students can buy a quality laminated maple skateboard deck for $20.00, then design and paint their own surfaces, and submit it to Allied Arts for exhibition in their gallery. There are generous prizes for the best designs, and the fun of seeing your work on display in a real art gallery. The decks will be returned to students when the show closes.
The entry fee for the show is covered by the $20.00, and the students can deliver them to Allied Arts by April 3 rd to be included in the show. The skateboard decks can be purchased today at lunch in the Commons, or tomorrow and Friday from Mrs. Sundlee in the art room.

Congratulations to Katrina Salset for being named as one of the seven regional winners in the Educational Service District 105 Regional High School Art Show. Her winning entry, "Harley Davidson" will be sent to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction in Olympia to compete with other Washington high school student’s work at the 39th Annual High School Student Art Show. The OSPI show will run from May 18, 2012 through May 31, 2012.
Congratulations to Robyn Sundlee for being named as one of the two "Board Choice" award winners in the Educational Service District 105 Regional High School Art Show. Her entry, "Electra" will be purchased by ESD 105 and become one of the ESD 105 gallery's permanent collection.
