14th June 1775 - Flag Day and Army's birthday
1818 - Congress passed a new act, stating that whenever a new state was added to the union on the following fourth of July a star would be added to the flag
1819 - Captain Partridge started the first ROTC program in Norwich University, Vermont
1862 - Moral Act was passed by Congress, promising land and money to colleges that would offer military courses along with regular programs
1916 - National Defense Act was passed by Congress; ROTC became on official Program
1973 - Women where allowed into JROTC and JROTC was no longer mandatory
1984 - First female battalion commander
