Unit 1 ~ Basic Kitchen Appliances

Of course, you can get every gadget out there and fill all of your counter space with tools. However, there are some basic necessities you will need in a "starter" kitchen — or even in a fancy kitchen — if you want to be able to cook.

Create a PowerPoint presentation or make a poster to complete the assignment. In either case you need to include the following info about each item on the list.

• Name
• Picture of it
• Brief description on why you need it or how it is used

If you want some extra credit (in other words, to get an A) you will also want to include how much the item costs and where you got the price. (Is it cheaper to get your kitchen tools at WalMart or Linens-N-Things or the Bon?)
