Unit 4 ~ Course Portfolio

You should be done with all of your assignments. You have almost earned credit for cooking! You simply need to put together your course portfolio following these guidelines:

  1. There are 4 units in this course. You need to decide which assignment was your BEST work in each unit and why. Write a paper called "Best Works" and write one paragraph on each unit that explains your best assignment, what you learned by completing it and why you think it is your best work.
  2. Write a letter to a student that takes this course in the future. Include your tips for completing the course in a timely manner, learning something and having fun. If you found any websites particularly helpful this would be a good place to share those addresses.
  3. Write a thank you note to your Mentor and deliver it! Include a copy in the portfolio.
  4. Assemble all of the assignments in a notebook or folder with dividers for each unit. Be sure all of the assignments are clearly labeled. If some of the assignments are on the computer or on a poster, include a neatly typed page that explains where the assignment can be located to be graded. Use the course syllabus as a guide to what is included in each unit.
  5. Don’t forget to include your signed syllabus and course calendar showing when and where you did the cooking labs.
  6. You are welcome to include any other info that you think is relevant to your completion of this course.
  7. ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE PORTFOLIO please type your name, the date and the grade you think you earned in bold font, centered, one item per line, on the top half of the paper. On the second half of the paper please explain in one paragraph why you think you earned the grade you gave yourself.
