Mr. Johnson Models Lifelong Learning
Mr. Edwin Johnson began his career student teaching at West Valley and has been a part of our Ram family for the last seven years. Recently, Mr. Johnson has been teaching 7th grade English Language Arts (ELA) at the Mid-Level Campus. He also enjoys teaching math, which he taught at West Valley’s middle school. He loves to read, and he hopes to pass his love of reading onto his students in his new role.
Inspired by his parents to cherish learning and be a lifelong learner, Mr. Johnson uses that same mentality when teaching and describes his teaching style as student-centered: “I have high expectations for my students, but they also know that I care about them.” His parents’ influence and core values shine through as he takes on teaching 7th grade ELA and strives to learn as much as he can to help his students succeed.
